Voice of the Customer

Interactive intelligence a global provider of software and services designed to improve the customer experience, has been awarded G-Cloud 4 status and has been added to the government’s procurement framework.

The G-Cloud framework is an iterative programme of work developed from a mandate for all government departments to consider public cloud first in any IT procurement decisions. It enables public sector organisations to evaluate and purchase cloud computing services from vendors in the categories: infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), software as a service (SaaS), and specialist cloud services (SCS).

Interactive Intelligence is now certified to supply its full portfolio of cloud-based contact centre, unified communications and business process automation applications within the framework as a SaaS vendor.

Joan Hill, head of public sector, UK, Interactive Intelligence, says the G-Cloud initiative will deliver fundamental changes in the way government operates regarding information and communications technology (ICT). “What this says to the market is that government is encouraging the emergence of new vendors, which is stimulating competition and innovation.

“It is a break away from the traditional way of doing things and is really transforming the way government does business. The framework allows SMEs to get involved and bring their agile and best working practices in cloud forward in order to encourage a dynamic and responsive supplier marketplace to the UK government.”

Achieving G-Cloud 4 status identifies Interactive Intelligence as a secure, reliable and trusted provider of SaaS solutions to government.

“This has wider benefits,” concludes Hill. “G-Cloud 4 status also gives potential customers, especially those in heavily regulated industries, such as finance and banking, added assurance and confidence that we can provide a secure cloud solution.”
